From civil contractor to integrated engineering
VAFTSY has grown one discipline at a time, each new team built on the work of the last. The aim has always been the same: give clients one engineering partner, from foundation to final test.
Our origins
Started on the shop floor in 2001.
VAFTSY began as an industrial civil contractor in Pune, building factories and machine foundations for the forging industry. Long-term relationships with clients such as Bharat Forge and Kalyani Forge led to turnkey, IS code-compliant design, construction and structural inspection.
As clients asked for more, we added electrical design and commissioning in 2004 and computer-aided engineering in 2007. In 2026 we began research for a fourth direction: intelligent machines, through VAFTSY AI & Robotics.

History and milestones
Twenty-five years, four directions
- 2001
VAFTSY Constructions
Industrial civil contracting: factories, steel structures and heavy press foundations.
Led by Shreyash Jagtap - 2004
VAFTSY System Engineers
Electrical design, automation and commissioning as a Government-approved electrical contractor.
Led by Ganpat R. Patil - 2007
VAFTSY CAE
FEA and CFD analysis to ASME, IS and Euro codes for clients in automotive, oil and gas and manufacturing.
Led by Vinaay Patil - 2026
VAFTSY AI & Robotics
Research begins on intelligent agricultural machines; development planned from 2027.

Milestone years as recorded by VAFTSY.
Philosophy
How we approach engineering
Multidisciplinary by design
Civil, electrical, mechanical and analysis engineers sit in one organisation, so interfaces are solved inside the team, not between contractors.
Analysis before metal
Simulation and code checks come before construction, so designs are proven on screen before they are built on site.
On time, to the code
We work to ASME, IS and Euro codes and keep to agreed schedules. Documentation is built for audit and approval from the start.
How the divisions relate
Three established divisions, one new venture.
VAFTSY Integrated Engineering Services is the parent organisation. Each division keeps its specialist depth; systems engineering connects them on projects that cross disciplines.
- VAFTSY Constructions: civil
- VAFTSY System Engineers: electrical
- VAFTSY CAE: simulation

Vision
The future is malleable.
We believe good engineering can reshape almost anything. Our long-term direction is to combine our established disciplines with intelligent technology, so the machines and facilities we deliver can sense, decide and adapt.
